HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School has named Trinity Grover, a senior in the Welding program, its Student of the Month for June 2026.
Grover, of Hillsborough, is the daughter of Stephanie Torres and Charles Grover, according to the school.
The monthly recognition is awarded during the 2025-2026 school year to students nominated by faculty and staff for a trait that made them an asset to the school community.
June’s theme was "Most Improved," with students considered for the honor based on hard work, focus and commitment to improvement, according to the school.
According to SCVTHS School Counselor Jenn Nelson, Grover was selected because "she has been a great role model and a tremendous support to her classmates, always encouraging others and helping out when needed. Her teachers are very proud of all the progress she’s made and of the many positive qualities she has brought to our school community."
The school said Grover’s work at SCVTHS has led to multiple academic honor roll recognitions.
It also said she has an artistic background and received an award from her previous high school for her talent as a painter.
Outside the classroom, Grover volunteers at the Hillsborough YMCA and works several part-time jobs, according to the school.
One of those jobs allows her to use her creativity to design and paint nails.
In her free time, Grover enjoys writing poems, watching movies, going to the gym and spending time with her family.
After graduation, Grover plans to continue building her welding skills at Raritan Valley Community College. She then hopes to travel the world as a welder.
