2. Ex-Hillsborough School Business Administrator Indicted In Kickback Scheme (patch.com) — Hillsborough parents are being told that district finances are now tightly safeguarded after federal prosecutors indicted a former school business administrator and a contractor in an alleged kickback scheme tied to inflated overtime invoices. The charges, covering 2021–2022, follow an earlier sentencing of the former buildings and grounds director, while current leaders stress that all three left the district years ago and new controls are in place.
