HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Two new administrators were introduced for the 2026-27 school year, including a new principal for Hillsborough Elementary School and a new supervisor of English/language arts for grades 7 through 12.
The Hillsborough Board of Education approved the appointments during the Monday meeting.
Hetal Amin was hired as principal at Hillsborough Elementary School with an effective date to be determined through June 30, 2027, at a salary of $135,000.
Daniel Brack was hired as supervisor of English/language arts for grades 7-12 from Aug. 3, 2026, through June 30, 2027, at a salary of $108,500.
Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Technology Joel Handler introduced both administrators to the community.
"Miss Amin is an exceptional instructional leader with 25 years recorded of dedication to elementary education and she is also a proud member of our community residing right here in Hillsborough," said Handler. "She brings a unique blend of local investment, masterful administrative capability, and extensive classroom experience."
"I'm completely confident that she will inspire our staff, partner meaningfully with our families, and keep our students at the very center of every decision," said Handler.
Amin thanked the board and district community after the introduction.
"It is truly an honor to be here this evening, and I'm sincerely grateful to be considered for the opportunity to serve as the next principal of Hillsborough Elementary School," she said.
Amin also said, "The chance to give back by serving the school district that has given so much to our family is a privilege that I will never take for granted."
She said her commitment would be "to listen, learn, and partner with our students, families, and staff to create a community where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential."
Handler also introduced Brack as the district's new supervisor of English language arts for grades 7 through 12.
He said Brack "is a highly accomplished student-centered leader who brings 17 years of secondary ELA experience to Hillsborough, including direct supervisory experience in a high-performing New Jersey district. In his most recent role as supervisor of English in the South Frontic Board of Education, he proved himself to be a dynamic data-driven instructional leader."
"I am entirely confident that he will provide the collaborative leadership our 7 through12 literacy department needs to thrive," said Handler.
Brack said he was "so excited to be joining the team here in Hillsborough."
"As a language arts educator and supervisor, I firmly believe that a strong language arts experience is integral to helping students become empathetic individuals, well-informed citizens, and skilled readers, writers, and most importantly, critical thinkers," Brack said.
He added that he was "fully committed to collaborating with my team and supporting our teachers as we set our students up for success here in Hillsboro, in our classrooms, and well beyond."
