Man Who Sat On Calf Struggling To Breathe At Hillsborough Farm Faces Charges

A video showed the calf struggling to breathe and the Franklin Park man sitting on the calf while it was in distress, said police.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A man who is accused of sitting on a calf as it struggled to breathe was charged with animal cruelty at a Hillsborough farm, police said.

On Aug. 11, Keith Brown, 64, from Franklin Park was charged with animal cruelty, a disorderly persons offense.

The charge follows a video that depicted him training a calf at a farm on River Road.

"The video showed the calf struggling to breathe and the accused sitting on the calf while it was in distress," said police.

Brown was served his summons and advised of his Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
