• Fuel Truck Overturns On Township Line Road In Montgomery (patch.com) — A fuel truck overturned on Township Line Road in Montgomery, briefly closing the road and prompting a hazardous materials response. Along with Montgomery crews, Flagtown Fire/Rescue – Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1 assisted in containing a minor fuel leak and transferring the diesel to another truck, helping protect nearby communities. The driver was not injured and the crash remains under investigation.
   

• Hillsborough Bypass To Close For The Chase 5K Race, Charity Fundraiser (patch.com) — Hillsborough drivers and runners should prepare for a full closure of the Hillsborough Bypass on Saturday, Sept. 26, for The Chase 5K, which doubles as the USATF NJ 5K Championship. The race supports several Hillsborough-based charities and organizations, features prize money and random cash awards, and ends with a local brewery celebration for participants.
   

• Phillipsburg football takes care of business, dispatches Hillsborough (lehighvalleylive.com) — Hillsborough High School's football team fell 35–7 on the road to Phillipsburg in their Big Central American Silver Division opener, struggling to stop big plays early. Despite being outmatched in the first half, the Raiders mounted a long scoring drive after halftime and earned praise from their coach for toughness, offering building blocks for the rest of the season.
