FRANKLIN, NJ — Franklin Township police are asking the public for help as officers search for a missing 71-year-old woman.
Belinda Prentice was last seen near Bamburg Court in Somerset on Monday, Oct. 5, said Public Safety Director Lloyd Fredericks.
Bamburg Court is in the area of New Brunswick Road and Willow Avenue.
Police describe Prentice as a Black woman who is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds.
It is unknown what clothing she was last wearing. However, police said she is known to frequently wear a head covering.
The department did not release additional details about where she may have been headed or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
The Franklin Township Police Department asked residents, local businesses and property owners to remain vigilant and report any information that may help officers find Prentice.
People in the surrounding area are also being encouraged to review security camera footage that may have captured her.
