HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A first benefit concert for Steps Together is planned for Saturday, Dec. 5, with ticket proceeds slated to support families facing a medical crisis.
Organizers are inviting local high school musicians to perform.
Hector Mendez and Grace Carver are producing the concert at Hillsborough High School.
Steps Together says Mendez wanted to give back after his little brother was in a tragic accident and his family received assistance from Steps Together.
Mendez, an avid musician, decided to use music to help other families dealing with a medical crisis.
The event is being promoted as Steps Together's first-ever benefit concert.
High school musicians are invited to take part, whether as solo artists or as part of a group.
All musical genres are welcome, solo and group performances are encouraged, and performances should run from three to 10 minutes.
Volunteer hours will be awarded to participating students.
Students interested in performing are asked to contact the event organizers, Grace Carver at 609-751-7050 and Hector Mendez at 908-419-3799, for more information.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Hillsborough High School. Tickets are listed at $20 per person, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All ticket proceeds will benefit Steps Together.
