Avoiding Mask Issues Hillsborough Sets Virtual School Meeting
The emergency virtual meeting will be held Thursday after unmasked residents forced the shut down of Monday night's school board meeting.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — In an effort to avoid any masking issues, the Hillsborough Board of Education has rescheduled its meeting to be virtual on Thursday. The rescheduling comes after unmasked residents forced the shut down of Monday night's meeting.
The virtual meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. "where action will be taken on the agenda items proposed for the Feb. 14 meeting, that was adjourned due to a public health emergency," the board posted on Wednesday.
During the Monday meeting attempt, shouting, yelling, and fighting consumed the school board as audience members were asked to put on masks. Despite School Board President Paul Marini's multiple attempts to ask residents to comply with the executive order the board voted to end the meeting.
