Bicyclist Hit By Car, Hospitalized In Franklin
The bicyclist was transported to a local area trauma center with serious head injuries, Franklin Township Police report.

FRANKLIN, NJ — A bicyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a car on Saturday afternoon, Franklin Township Police report.
At 2:35 p.m., a 2018 Nissan Rouge was driving west on Bennington Parkway when it collided with a 17-year-old male bicyclist at the intersection of Central Avenue in Franklin, police report.
The bicyclist was transported to a local area trauma center with serious head injuries. The Nissan was driven by Dipen Patel, 33, from North Brunswick, police report.

Following the crash, the road was was shut down and an investigation was initiated by the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau. The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation, police report.
