Boutique To Close After Three Years in Town

Elenor’s Boutique Lingerie and Swimwear on South Branch Road will be closing its doors in what store manager Wendy Zweifel described as “an uneventful closing.”

Owners David Cole and Joe Foret have decided to move to Florida, she said. With the move, they will close the Hillsborough location, which has been in the Kingsbridge Center for three years.

Zweifel explained that there will be no big “going out of business sale” at Elenor’s because the store’s web-based business, which has been in operation for about 15 years, will shift its home base from Hillsborough (the site of the current warehouse) to Florida.

Elenor’s Boutique featured lingerie, including fittings and fittings by appointment, and swimwear from several major distributors. In anticipation of the closing, the owners decided to eliminate the swimwear collection from the Kingsbridge Center location this season.
