Boys Volleyball Bests West Windsor Plainsboro in Season Opener
Raiders sweep Knights, 25-13 and 25-18.
Led by seniors Travis Haynes and Michael Warn, who each had nine kills, the boys volleyball team dominated the West Windsor Plainsboro North Knights at the net both offensively and defensively during Monday's season opener.
The three-time defending Skyland Conference champions started out slowly, with each team trading points. After a number of mini-runs the Raiders were able to turn a close 9-7 lead into a comfortable 25-13 first game win.
The Knights picked up their play early in the second game keeping the score close. But at 10-10, the Raiders put together four straight points to take a 14-10 lead. From there they never looked back, winning by 7, for 25 points to the Knights' 18.
