A New Community Organization Is Taking Shape in Somerset County
What if there were a local organization where neighbors could help neighbors, friendships could grow, and people could come together to make a positive difference in their community? That is the spirit behind the Grange, an organization that has been bringing people together and strengthening local communities for 159 years.
Now, organizers are working to bring that tradition to Somerset County, and they are inviting local residents to learn more and consider becoming part of a new Grange. The organization provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together around community service, education, fellowship, and projects that benefit the places where they live.
An Interest Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 18, at First United Methodist Church, 48 West High St., Somerville. The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn what the Grange is, what a local Grange could do for the Somerset County community, and how residents can help build a new organization from the ground up.
There is no commitment required to attend. Residents are encouraged to simply come, learn, ask questions, and meet others who share an interest in making their community a better place. Whether you are looking for a way to get involved in community service, meet new people, support local projects, or simply learn something new, the meeting is an opportunity to see if the Grange is the community organization you've been looking for.
