Trapped Person In Overturned Pick-Up Truck Rescued In Hillsborough

The roadway was closed for about an hour on Friday morning as a result.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A person trapped inside an overturned pick-up truck was rescued by Hillsborough Firefighters on Friday morning.

At 07:13 a.m. on July 14, Hillsborough Fire District units were called to the intersection of South Branch Road and Beekman Lane for the report of a motor vehicle overturned with one person trapped, according to Hillsborough Twp Station 37 Fire.

Volunteer firefighters worked together to rescue one person from the Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck that was on its side as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

The roadway was closed between New Amwell Road and South Branch Road for about 1 hour as a result.

The Flagtown Fire and Rescue is always looking for volunteers. Interested candidates may stop by any Thursday night at the firehouse at 7 p.m. at 20 Equator Ave. There is a 16- to 18-year-old junior member program as well as regular membership for those interested in being firefighters.
