Car Fire, Route 206 Store Burglary Reported In Montgomery
Montgomery Police released its blotter for the past week.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — A car fire, burglary to a business, criminal mischief and an attempted burglary were reported recently in Montgomery.
Montgomery Police blotter:
On March 5 at 6:34 a.m.: Montgomery Police along with Montgomery Fire Companies 1 and 2 went to Carrier Clinic for a motor vehicle fire. The vehicle’s owner stated she was driving to work at Carrier Clinic and noticed the vehicle starting to smoke as she was pulling into the lot. After parking, she opened the hood and noticed a large amount of smoke. The engine became engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Montgomery Fire Inspectors responded to conduct an investigation and found nothing suspicious.

On March 6 at 8:13 p.m.: Montgomery Police responded to a home on Route 518 for a report of
criminal mischief. The resident reported that a rock was thrown through a back porch window. There were no signs of entry made into the residence.
On March 9 at 12:51 a.m.: Montgomery Police responded to a business on Route 206 for an attempted burglary. An employee reported a person trying to break into the business. The individual fled after realizing there was an employee on location. The detective bureau is investigating.

On March 9 at 11:10 a.m.: Montgomery Police responded to another Route 206 business for a burglary. An employee reported that someone entered the business during the overnight hours, stealing a cash register and damaging items in the store. The detective bureau is investigating.
