Cars Doing Donuts, Burnouts, Racing Reported In Hillsborough

The "car meet" prompted Hillsborough Police to respond early Sunday morning.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A large group of cars doing donuts, burnouts, and racing was reported in Hillsborough on Sunday prompting police to respond.

On Sept. 10 at 1:03 a.m., Hillsborough Police Officers saw a group of cars (a car meet) driving in the area of Amwell Road and Amsterdam Drive and eventually in the area of Willow Road and Hillsborough Road.

Officers told the group to disperse and remained on the scene until all the vehicles had left, said Hillsborough Police Lt. Scott W. Mc Carthy.

"It was reported that the vehicles were doing donuts, burnouts, and racing, which is not uncommon for these 'car meets'," Mc Carthy told Patch.
