Catalytic Converters Cut Off With Power Tools, Stolen In Hillsborough

The Hillsborough Police released the blotter for the month of March which included multiple DWI arrests.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Thefts of catalytic converters, DWI arrests and graffiti were reported in the township for the month of March, according to the Hillsborough Police blotter.

On March 31, residents on Meadowbrook Drive reported the thefts of catalytic converters around 3:00 a.m.

The catalytic converters were cut off using power tools, which residents heard in the area, said police.

Residents are reminded to call Hillsborough Township Police for any suspicious activity.

On March 2: An unknown vehicle caused damage to the Hillsborough Cricket Grounds’ grass at 315 Rt. 206. An investigation is ongoing.

On March 2: Ionut Badeanu, 33, of Hillsborough was charged with panhandling at 601 Route 206 and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 15: An unknown vehicle caused damage to the grass at the Country Classic Park on Amsterdam Drive. An investigation is ongoing.

On March 16: Craig Miller, 75, of Livingston was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated(DWI) during a motor vehicle crash investigation on Route 206. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 18: A 28-year-old man from Somerset was stopped on Sunnymead Road and arrested for DWI. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 18: A 51-year-old man from Belle Mead was stopped on Amwell Road and arrested for DWI. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 19: A 63-year-old man from Hillsborough was stopped on Beekman Lane and arrested for DWI. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 19: A 41-year-old man from Hillsborough was stopped on Amwell Road and arrested for DWI. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 20: Two 19-year-olds were charged with disorderly conduct when located at an abandoned residence. They were charged, processed, and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 24: Emily Terreo, 23, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI during a motor vehicle crash investigation on Rt. 206. She was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 25: Aldair Serrano-Vanegas, 23, of Manville was charged with obstruction / hindering for giving a false name during an unwanted person investigation. He was also charged with creating a nuisance. He was released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 23: A 57-year-old woman from Hillsborough was stopped on Route 206 and arrested for DWI. She was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 27: An unknown actor put graffiti on the outside and inside of the restrooms of Ann Van Middlesworths Park. An investigation is ongoing.

On March 27: A 36-year-old man from Hillsborough was stopped on Route 206 and arrested for DWI. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.

On March 30: A 30-year-old man from Hillsborough was arrested for DWI on Auten Road. He was processed and released with a Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
