Cooling Centers In Hillsborough: Heat Advisory Issued
In Hillsborough, heat index levels up to 105 are expected through Sunday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — As scorching temperatures rise to dangerous levels this week, there are cooling centers in Hillsborough and across Somerset County to offer some relief to residents.
A heat advisory remains in effect for the Hillsborough area from 10 a.m. on Tuesday through 6 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service(NWS).
An excessive heat watch also remains in effect from Wednesday morning through 8 p.m. on Sunday.

"For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 96 expected. For the Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible," according to NWS.
Somerset County offers several cooling centers throughout the county. See the list below of all the cooling centers in the county or residents can call 211 or visit soconj.gov/coolingcenters:
