Crash Into Utility Pole Caused Closure Of Millstone River Road In Hillsborough

The crash caused the roadway to close for about 12 hours overnight.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — An SUV crashed into a utility pole causing Millstone River Road to close on Tuesday.

On Sept. 17 at 3:56 p.m., Hillsborough Police Officers were called to the report of a single-vehicle crash into a utility pole on Millstone River Road.

Millstone River Road was closed due to the wires in the roadway from the down pole, said Captain Scott W. Mc Carthy.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was treated for injuries on scene. The road was closed until the pole was repaired and the road was reopened at 3:14 a.m. on Wednesday.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
