"I'd like to nominate our cute mini Aussie Shepard Dakota. Last year our family went for ice cream in New York City and came home with this adorable mini Aussie Shepard.

Dakota sits for long periods of time on our back steps, patrolling the yard. She plays with our four year old Bischonpoo Comet for hours on end. She will sit on your lap and reach out and touch your hand so that you will pet her. She loves to just lay on your lap and be pet.

Recently, Comet was eating a bone and Dakota wanted it. Instead of taking it, she brought a smaller bone and put it right under Comet's nose and then laid her head on Comet's paw. When Comet went for the smaller bone, Dakota swiped the larger bone away. It was really cute!

She has a sweet disposition and loves attention. Aussies are true to their owners too! Dakota is right next to me every minute I am home - making dinner, outside the shower, when I go to sleep. She is definitely our happiness every day."
