Delayed Opening For Hillsborough Schools Due To Impending Snow

Hillsborough Township Public Schools​​ will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Township Public Schools will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday due to inclement weather.

"Please have your child at their bus stop at least 10 minutes earlier than the projected pick-up time and prepare for delays," said the district.

Parents are reminded to dress their children appropriately for the weather.

A low-pressure system moving into the region late Monday could bring five to eight inches of snow, as well as ice, in some parts of the Garden State, according to AccuWeather.

The main risk for heavy snow will be between 5 and 7 p.m. Monday, said the NWS office in Mount Holly. The storm also carries a risk for rain and a wintry mix to make roads slick.
