Montgomery Road Reopens Following Fallen Power Lines In Hillsborough

The roadway was closed due to downed power lines just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The road reopened Wednesday morning.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Montgomery Road has reopened as of Wednesday morning after downed power lines caused the road closure and an outage in Hillsborough on Tuesday afternoon.

The township sent out an alert just before 2 p.m. warning residents that Montgomery Road is closed between Pschorn Lane and Long Hill Road due to the downed power lines.

Just after 6 a.m., the township announced the road reopened on Wednesday.

Previously, PSE&G reported 28 customers were without power on Tuesday. The power has since been restored to residents.
