Drunk Driver Crashes Stolen Van Into Hillsborough Home On Christmas Eve, Police Say
A police investigation also found the van being driven by 27-year-old Pawel Zawadka was stolen out of Manville. See photos of the crash.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Police say a man driving drunk in a stolen van crashed into a township home on Christmas Eve.
A 911 call reported the crash on Dec. 24 at 8:08 p.m. where Hillsborough Police found a 2014 Honda Odyssey completely inside the home with disabling damage to the van and severe structural damage to the home.
The van penetrated through the front of the home and came to rest in both the garage and living room, said police.

The driver, 27-year-old Pawel Zawadka, was found at the home and arrested for driving while intoxicated, said police.
Zawadka did not have any injuries.

An investigation found that the van being driven by Zawadka was stolen out of Manville Borough earlier in the night, said police.
Zawadka was charged with multiple motor vehicle violations, driving while intoxicated and receiving stolen property. He was taken to Somerset County Jail.
The Hillsborough building department determined that the home was uninhabitable because of the severe structural damage.
The following agencies responded to the Scene: Hillsborough Police Dept, Manville Police Department, Hillsborough Fire Dept-Units: 37 & 38, Robert Wood Johnson BLS, Hillsborough OEM, and the Hillsborough Building Dept. No injuries were reported by any of the Emergency Personnel that responded to the scene.
