DWI Crash On Route 206 Injuries 2 In Montgomery: Police

Jeffrey Georgiana, 63, of Somerset, was charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash on Sunday afternoon.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A Somerset man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash on Route 206 on Sunday.

On March 10 at 2:58 p.m., Montgomery Police and Montgomery EMS went to Route 206 at Center Drive for a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

A police investigation determined Jeffrey Georgiana, 63, of Somerset, was driving on the southbound side of Route 206 in a 2010 Buick, when he turned left in front of a 2023 Jeep, which was being driven by Ioannis C. Yessios, 52, of New York, NY on the northbound side, said Montgomery Police.

As a result of the crash, Georgiana suffered injuries to his face and Yessios had some bruising to his legs from airbag deployment. Yessios' passengers were not injured.

Georgiana was taken to RWJUH-Somerset for treatment of his injuries. Yessios refused further medical aid on the scene.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Georgiana's vehicle was impounded per John’s Law.

Georgiana was charged with DWI and additional motor vehicle offenses stemming from the crash. He is due to appear in court.

Traffic was delayed in the area for an hour and a half for scene investigation and clean up.
