DWI Driver Arrested Following Crash In Montgomery
Montgomery Police also reported making 3 marijuana possession, 3 contempt of court and 1 hindering arrests.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Montgomery Police reported making arrests for driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession, contempt of court and hindering arrest.
Montgomery Police blotter:
On Sept. 16: Noel Fabian Vasquez Quiroz, 29, of Catonsville, Maryland was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Officer Jesse Peterson of the Montgomery Township Police Department responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Opossum Road. Peterson detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on Quiroz. Peterson’s investigation revealed that Quiroz was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. This subsequently resulted in Quiroz being arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, and failure to maintain lane. Quiroz has a pending court date with Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

On Sept. 4 at about 2:30 p.m.: Hakeem Samuel was arrested for hindering apprehension. Sgt. Gray had contact with Samuel after observing a pedestrian traffic violation on US Hwy 206. During the investigation Samuel provided a false name to police and was transported to the Montgomery Township Police Department to determine his correct name. Samuel was positively identified and charged with hindering his own apprehension. Samuel was issued a traffic ticket for the pedestrian traffic violation and released pending an appearance in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
On Aug. 7 at about 10 a.m.: Josue Andre, 27, of Hamilton was arrested for contempt of court. Andre was pulled over by Offier Balinski when a random license plate inquiry revealed an outstanding traffic warrant for Andre. Andre was stopped on County Route 605 and was arrested for the traffic warrant. Andre was transported to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. The Robbinsville Municipal Court provided Andre with a new court date and he was released.

On Aug. 6 at about 11:50 a.m.: Elvin Hernandez-Gonzalez, 37, of Reading, Pennsylvania was arrested for contempt of court. Hernandez-Gonzalez was traveling on County Route 533 when stopped by Officer Parlow for operating an unregistered vehicle. Further investigation revealed Hernandez-Gonzalez had an outstanding traffic warrant from Carteret Municipal Court. Hernandez-Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. Hernandez-Gonzalez posted $79 bail and was issued a traffic ticket for operating an unregistered vehicle.
On Aug. 6 at about 10 a.m.: Malik Woodard, 23, of Philadelphia, Pennslyvania was arrested for possession of marijuana. Woodard was operating a motor vehicle on US Hwy 206 when Sgt. Gray pulled the vehicle over for equipment violations. During the traffic stop marijuana was recovered from the vehicle. Woodard was arrested and transported to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. Woodard was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and issued a traffic ticket for failure to wear a seat belt. Woodard was released pending an appearance in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
On Aug. 2 at about 10:45 p.m.: Sgt. Gray investigated a suspicious motor vehicle parked at the Griggstown Free Church. The vehicle was occupied by Oliver Stryker, 20, of Lawrenceville and Cole Luterek, 19, of Manalapan. A marijuana pipe was observed in plain view and a second marijuana pipe was recovered after the vehicle was searched. Stryker and Luterek were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. Stryker and Luterek were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released pending a court appearance in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
On Aug. 1 at about 11:30 p.m.: Matthew Castillo, 40, of Hillsborough was arrested contempt of court. Castillo was pulled over by Officer Sles for following too closely on Route 206. Further investigation revealed Castillo had an outstanding traffic warrant from Hopewell Township Municipal Court. Castillo was arrested and transported to the Montgomery Township Police Department for arrest processing. Castillo posted $164 bail and was released. Castillo was issued a traffic ticket for following too closely.
