DWI, Marijuana Possession Arrests Made In Montgomery
Montgomery Police reported arresting a Belle Mead man for driving while intoxicated following a crash in the township.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Montgomery Police reported arresting a Belle Mead man for driving while intoxicated and a New York man for possession of marijuana.
Montgomery Police Blotter:
On June 15 at 5:38 p.m.: Montgomery Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Pike Run Road. During the crash investigation it was determined that the driver, Brahvan Ranganathan, 20, of Belle Mead had consumed alcoholic beverages prior to driving. Ranganathan was administered field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Ranganathan’s vehicle was impounded and he was released to a family member. He is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

On June 25 at 11:15 p.m.: Montgomery Police stopped a vehicle for driving through a red light on Route 206. During the traffic stop the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle, Rasiz Mandal, 20, of Brooklyn, New York was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mandal was placed under arrest and processed at police headqurters. He was issued a summons for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mandal is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
