DWI, Marijuana, Warrant Arrests Made In Montgomery

Montgomery Police made multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and warrants this weekend.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Montgomery Police made multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and warrants this weekend.

Montgomery Police Blotter:

On Aug. 24 at 6:10 p.m: Police arrested Manuel Galeano-Lucero, 44, from Princeton during a car stop on Great Road near Cherry Valley Road. Officer Chris Parlow and Officer John Colucci stopped a 1997 Ford F150 for failure to maintain lane and an equipment violation and determined Manuel Galeano-Lucero was driving while intoxicated. Manuel Galeano-Lucero vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 12 hours. Manuel Galeano-Lucero was transported to Montgomery Township Police Department for processing. Manuel Galeano-Lucero received summons for DWI, failure to maintain lane and maintenance of lamps. He was released to a family member. Manuel Galeano-Lucero is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

On Aug. 25 at 12:35 a.m.: Sonny T. Nelson, 42, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was stopped on Rt. 206 for speeding. During the stop Nelson was found to have an active arrest warrant for $1,458 from Hopewell. Nelson was placed under arrest and transported to Montgomery Police headquarters for processing. Nelson was issued a motor vehicle summons for speeding and he declined to pay bail and was transferred to Hopewell Police Department.

On Aug. 27 at 9:26 p.m.: Panell M. Thornton, 19, of Skillman was stopped on Rt. 206 for speeding and
failure to maintain a lane. Officer Colucci detected the odor of marijuana inside her vehicle and a further search of the vehicle yielded marijuana and paraphernalia. Thornton also had an active warrant for $360 out of Montgomery Township. Thornton was placed under arrest and transported to Montgomery Police Department for processing. Thornton was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Thornton was issued motor vehicle summons for speeding, failure to maintain a lane and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Thornton was unable to post bail and she was lodged in Somerset County Jail. Thornton is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
