Early Dismissal For All Hillsborough Schools Friday Due To Snow

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — All Hillsborough Township Public Schools will have an early dismissal on Friday due to impending inclement weather, the district announced on Friday around 9:35 a.m.

Hillsborough High School - 12:00 noon
Hillsborough Middle School - 12:30 p.m.
Auten Road Intermediate School - 1:20 p.m.

Amsterdam and Triangle Elementary Schools:
Full Day - 11:50 a.m.
AM Kindergarten and AM PreSchool - 10:20 a.m.
PM Kindergarten and PM PreSchool - No session

Hillsborough, Sunnymead, Woodfern and Woods Road Elementary Schools:
Full Day - 12:30 p.m.
AM Kindergarten and AM PreSchool - 11:00 a.m.
PM Kindergarten and PM PreSchool - No session

All after-school and evening activities are canceled.

Snowfall has already begun on Friday and will continue throughout the day until around 9 p.m. A total of 2 to 4 inches is possible in Hillsborough.

Here’s the latest forecast, according to the NWS:

Friday: Snow. High near 29. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday Night: A chance of snow, mainly before 9 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday: Areas of blowing snow after 8 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 24. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Areas of blowing snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 15. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
