Early Morning Fire Destroys Hillsborough Business

An early morning fire on Sunday ripped through a Belle Mead Hot Glass, causing it to be unsuitable to be open for business.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — An early morning fire on Sunday ripped through a Hillsborough business.

Emergency officials responded to the fire at 1:19 a.m. at Belle Mead Hot Glass located at 884 Route 206. When Hillsborough Police arrived a section of the building was engulfed with flames, police reported.

There were no occupants in the building during the fire, according to police.

Hillsborough Fire Departments put out the fire, but the business suffered extensive damage. Due to the damage, the business was deemed unsuitable to be open, police report.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious, but is still under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and Hillsborough Fire Safety Bureau.

There were no reported injuries during this incident.
