On Saturday, April 2, New Horizon Christian Fellowship is sponsoring the Battle for Hope at Auten Road Intermediate School (7:00 pm). It is an evening of Praise and Worship with our Contemporary Worship Band, Prayer for Families and Youth, and Guest Speaker Chris Padot from Crossthreadz (www.crossthreadz.org). Chris has dedicated his life to sharing the message of hope with young adults.
This event is designed to combat the pervasive hopelessness and despair that seems to permeate our high school youth and young adults. Sadly, we see this hopelessness acted out in suicide attempts and suicides every year in Hillsborough and the surrounding area.
Of course, we know this despair is not limited to an age group. That is why anyone and everyone are invited. Young, old, rich, poor, churched and unchurched. Any color, size, shape, gender, and nationality are welcome.
