A walk to examine the importance of native plants and discuss the benefits of using native plants in the home landscapewill be held at Duke Farms from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The health of our natural landscapes depends on maintaining a diverse population of plants native to the local area. In many areas of the world, non-native plants are escaping from cultivation or being introduced in record numbers, adversely impacting local environments. At Duke Farms, a substantial effort is underway to remove some of these invasive, non-native plants. .
