This two-hour class designed for adults will consist of an introduction to native plants and their place in the ecosystem. The class will examine the relationship of native plants to people and animals, and explore the medicinal uses of plants. There will be a discussion of pollination and how seeds are collected. Participants will then learn how to propagate native plants with seeds, cuttings and division. The growing areas of Duke Farms will be opened for a behind-the-scenes look and participants will be able to practice what they've learned by planting a seedling to take home and enjoy.
