Excessive Heat Forces Early Dismissal For Hillsborough Schools
All Hillsborough Township Public Schools will have an early dismissal for its first day of school on Thursday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Due to the excessive heat that is predicted for Thursday, all Hillsborough Township Public Schools will have an early dismissal for its first day of school.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 90 degrees on Thursday.
All afternoon kindergarten and preschool classes are cancelled. Parents should expect the afternoon bus (grades 1-12) to arrive at the bus stop about 2 hours and 25 minutes earlier than regular dismissal. Kindergarten afternoon buses home will arrive about 20 minutes earlier.

Lunch will not be served. Catholic Charities after school programs are cancelled.
School principals will notify parents of any additional changes to after school and evening events.
