Family Member Runs Over, Kills Man In Hillsborough: Prosecutor
The death remains under investigation by detectives pending an autopsy and toxicology report.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough man was killed after authorities say he was fatally run over by a car driven by a family member early on Saturday morning.
On Feb. 25 at around 2:28 a.m., authorities were dispatched to a home on Clark Lane following a 911 call, said Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Hillsborough Township Police Chief Mike McMahon.
The victim, a 41-year-old man from Hillsborough - whom authorities are not identifying - was hit by a vehicle driven by a family member, and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene, said McDonald.

Detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Investigation Unit and members of the Somerset County Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team are investigating along with detectives from the Hillsborough Township Police Department.
Investigators from the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office also went to the scene to investigate.

The death remains under investigation by detectives pending an autopsy and toxicology report from the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and the results of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team’s findings.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
