Fine Print: Family Members Operate Printing/Vinyl Businesses from Ilene Court Location
Long-time residents serve the community's printing needs.
For Phil Maiorca and Scott Tellep, business has become a family affair.
The two township residents and relatives – Maiorca is Tellep’s uncle – operate businesses that share space at 5 Ilene Court, Building 7, Unit 10.
Maiorca, who has lived in the township for 49 years, owns LFS Printing Co. Tellep, a 2002 graduate of Hillsborough High School, owns and operates PSP Vinyl Logos & Sign Designs.

Maiorca has been in the printing/graphics business for many years, with roots that go back to his days doing paste-up for the Somerset Messenger-Gazette, where he spent almost 20 years. He later worked at several other printing businesses, honing his graphics and business skills before becoming part-owner of LFS (his former partner’s initials).
“Printing is all I know,” he laughed.

After two years in a Manville location, Maiorca took over the business and moved to larger headquarters on Ilene Court.
“I don’t ever want to work for anyone else again,” he said.
He also recently took on a new partner, Jim Wright.
Today, LFS Printing Co. has two presses and prides itself on serving the needs of the community, tackling jobs that include brochures, newsletters, business cards, door hangers, NCR jobs, forms, menus, postcards, envelopes, stationery and copies. LFS has also produced school discount cards as well as playbills and posters for local productions.
“If we can’t do it, we’ll find someone who can and will outsource it,” Maiorca said. “We always try to get the best prices, especially for the smaller quantities we often deal with.”
He added, “I believe in going out of our way to help people. We love catering to local people and also want to expand our area.”
Having a larger facility enabled Maiorca to invite his nephew to share the space.
After taking graphics arts classes at HHS, Tellep went on to study at Katherine Gibbs and opened PSP Vinyl Logos & Sign Designs, working out of his basement. “Now I have an overhead,” he laughed.
Focusing on vinyl products, Tellep creates magnets, banners, pinstripes, flames, decals, canvas prints and more.
