House Fire Sparked By Electrical Panel In Hillsborough
The fire caused a portion of Zion Road to close on Thursday for almost 4 hours.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A two-alarm house fire that broke out on Thursday morning in Hillsborough was found to be sparked by an electrical panel.
Hillsborough Police and fire departments were called to 243 Zion Road for the report of an electrical fire and smoke at a home around 9:40 a.m., said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Jack Howard.
A fire in the electrical panel in the basement was found when police and firefighters arrives, said Howard.

Hillsborough Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious but remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Bureau of Fire Safety.

As a result of the fire, Zion Road near Amwell Road was closed until around 1:20 p.m. on Thursday.
