Fire Completely Destroys Nail Salon In Hillsborough, Fundraiser Launched

A GoFundMe was launched for Top Line Nails following a fire on Sunday morning in Hillsborough.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A longtime nail salon in Hillsborough was completely destroyed by a fire on Sunday morning. A fundraiser has since been launched for the owners.

Just after 8 a.m., smoke was reportedly coming from a Top Line Nails at 256 Route 206 in Hillsborough.

Fire departments from Hillsborough, Manville, Raritan, and Finderne came to help extinguish the fire.

"District units arrived quickly and were able to suppress the fire without extension into adjoining units," said Hillsborough Twp Station 37 Fire.

The fire was contained to the nail salon with smoke damage to several adjacent businesses, according to Flagtown Fire/Rescue - Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety

"We just spent a couple of hours at the salon, it's a disaster. We are unsure of the cause. We lost everything. Nothing is salvageable," wrote Topline Nails Hillsborough, NJ.

A client launched a GoFundMe fundraising website to support Tram and her family. The family had run their nail salon for 32 years.

"You’ve touched so many lives and now we hope to support you the way you’ve done for us for so many years," according to the GoFundMe.

"We were raised and live our life with the Buddhist teaching: 'Nothing is permanent. Everything is subject to change. Being is always becoming.' So we will channel that and try to be positive. We will be CLOSED for the foreseeable future. We don't know what the future holds, the wound is a bit too fresh to decide anything," wrote Topline Nails Hillsborough, NJ.
