Flemington MVC Closes Again, Employee Tests Positive For COVID

For the 2nd time in the past month, the Flemington Licensing Center​ is closed for 2 weeks after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

FLEMINGTON, NJ — For the second time in the past month, the Flemington Licensing Center is closed for two weeks after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has announced.

Flemington Licensing Center is closed until Wednesday, Dec. 16. The employee who tested positive was last in the Flemington Center this past Tuesday.

The Flemington center off Route 202 previously closed on Nov. 16 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

North Bergen Licensing Center is also closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 until Thursday, Dec. 17. The employee who tested positive was last in the North Bergen Center this past Wednesday.

Nine other MVC Centers remain closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at each location. These Centers are scheduled to reopen on the following dates:

  • Lodi Licensing Center – reopens Friday
  • Wayne Licensing Center – reopens Friday
  • West Deptford Regional/Licensing Center – reopens Saturday
  • Salem Licensing Center – reopens Tuesday, Dec. 8
  • Cherry Hill Vehicle Center – reopens Wednesday, Dec. 9
  • Medford Vehicle Center – reopens Wednesday, Dec. 9
  • Springfield Vehicle Center – reopens Saturday, Dec. 12
  • Trenton Regional/Vehicle Center – reopens Wednesday, Dec. 16
  • Newark Regional/Licensing Center – reopens Wednesday, Dec. 16

MVC Centers that have been closed are being cleaned and will remain closed until contact tracers have cleared enough employees to reopen or any required quarantine is complete.

Any appointments that are canceled due to a COVID-19 closure must be rescheduled at NJMVC.gov. Customers are notified by email if their appointment has been canceled.
