Flood Advisory In Effect For Somerset County Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the southern part of Somerset County until 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the southern part of Somerset County until 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The advisory was issued after radars indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms which will cause minor flooding across portions of the advisory area, especially in the more urbanized areas, the NWS reported.

Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. The heaviest rains will fall across the Interstate 95 corridor through 2 p.m.
