Fred Ewig Named General Manager At Iron Peak Sports & Events

Iron Peak Sports & Events (Iron Peak), New Jersey’s premier venue for sports, events, and family entertainment has appointed Fred Ewig as its new general manager.

Ewig is no stranger to Iron Peak Sports & Events, having been a part of the leadership team for over three years. Named the Director of Business Development & Events in 2019, he was responsible for the selling of the facility to local sports organizations and event operators. He also oversaw the re-branding of the facility in its early phases, as well as navigating the tumultuous times of opening a facility during a pandemic. Ewig has been instrumental in developing relationships with local, regional, and national organizations looking to bring sporting events to Somerset County.

Prior to arriving at Iron Peak, Ewig started his professional career in the sports and events industry with the New Jersey Devils as an Account Manager nearly 20 years ago. He then went on to spend two seasons with the Newark Bears as their Director of Fan Development before dedicating 12 years with the Gazelle Group, a sports marketing company based in Princeton, NJ. While with the Gazelle Group, he was involved in every aspect of producing Division I college basketball events across the country, including tournaments at Madison Square Garden and Prudential Center.
