Girls, Boys Soccer Set For Playoffs

The seeds are set, now all that’s left is to play the games.

For the Hillsborough boys soccer team, that game will be a first round North 2, Group IV matchup against sixth seed Bayonne on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The boys wrapped up the regular season with an 8-8-1 mark, good enough for the No. 11 seed in the state sectional tournament.

For the girls, finishing the season at 2-11-2 earned them the 15th seed and a first round matchup against No. 2 seed Westfield on Monday.

The Hillsborough football team fell to 4-4 this season after a 28-14 loss to Phillipsburg, according to NJ.com. Chris Girardi and John Banaciski each scored touchdowns for Hillsborough in the loss.
