Grill Fire Ignites Deck, Home In Hillsborough
Hillsborough firefighters' quick actions prevented the fire from spreading up the outside of the home and into the attic.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — An out-of-control grill fire set ablaze a Hillsborough home's deck and back of the home on Thursday night.
At 7:15 p.m., Hillsborough Township Fire Station 37 along with the Hillsborough Fire District were called to McCoy Drive for a reported deck fire, according to Hillsborough Twp Station 37 Fire.
It was learned that a possible grill fire had spread to the deck and house.

Firefighters quick actions prevented it the fire from causing much more damage.
"These types of fires typically extend up the exterior siding and get into the attic space. Today we were successful in preventing that from occurring," said Hillsborough Twp Station 37 Fire.

Those who responded included Station 37 Units: Chief 37, Tanker 37, Tower Ladder 37 and Rehab 37.
