Gunshots Heard On Video: 3 Shootings, 1 Death In Somerset

SOMERSET, NJ — Three separate shootings and a homicide on Dec. 30 and 31 capped off 2019 in Somerset, authorities confirm. One of those shootings was caught on a neighbor's Ring.com camera.
The resident in the Somerset section of Franklin Township shared the video on the Neighbors app Tuesday reporting the shots at around 4:30 a.m. Multiple gunshots can be heard around 12 seconds into the video.
Somerset County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Francis Roman confirmed one shooting on Dec. 30 and two more on New Year's Eve, all in Somerset. One of the shootings on Dec. 31 was fatal with a homicide reported, Roman said.

"The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit along with Franklin Township Police are still actively investigating all three shootings since they occurred," Roman said.
The SCPO will be announcing some arrests in the homicide investigation later Thursday. Check back as more information is released.
