The state Department of Education's recently released its list of violence, weapons, drug use, and bullying for the 2016-17 school year.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Bullying, violence, and vandalism happen everywhere, even Hillsborough and Montgomery.

The state Department of Education released its list of public schools with bullying and violent episodes for the 2016-17 school year.

Hillsborough Township School District had 13 incidents, or 0.82 incidents per 100 students, of violence, vandalism, weapons, drug use, and bullying, according to the report.

Montgomery Township School District had 24 incidents, or 0.65 incidents per 100 students, of violence, vandalism, weapons, drug use, and bullying, according to the report.

Somerset County Vocational School had 2 incidents, or 2.43 incidents per 100 students, of violence, vandalism, weapons, drug use, and bullying, according to the report.

The figures, compiled annually from data received from school districts across the state, were recently released as part of the Department of Education's 2016-17 district performance reports.
