Here's What The Average Hillsborough School Administrator Makes

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The state has released information showing how much school districts budgeted for the salaries of principals, superintendents, and administrators in 2019. This is how Hillsborough ranked:

In Hillsborough, the median salary is $132,146, it is the 6th highest in Somerset County and 149th highest in New Jersey. Bridgewater-Raritan had the highest median salary in the county with $149,211 and Central Jersey College Prep Charter School had the lowest with $70,380.

Hillsborough's 2.55 percent salary increase from 2018 was the sixth highest in Somerset County and 257th highest year-over-year increase in New Jersey. Bedminster had the largest percentage increase with 7.83.

The median statewide salary is $125,207, a 1 percent increase over 2018.

The information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median salary in every New Jersey school district for the salaries of principals, superintendents, and administrators in 2019.

In addition to median salaries, the site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2019.
