Hillsborough Assemblyman Named Legislator Of The Year

Roy F​reiman was honored for his work to support the business community and steer New Jersey through the pandemic.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Assemblyman Roy Freiman, who represents the 16th district including Somerset, Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon counties, was named Legislator of the Year.

Freiman was among five state legislators honored for his work to support the business community and steer New Jersey through the pandemic by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce (NJCC) at Wednesday's 2021 State Chamber Legislative and Business Awards Reception.

"I am very humbled to be named Legislator of the Year," said Assemblyman Freiman. "Thank you to the State Chamber of Commerce for recognizing the work we have done in the Assembly for New Jersey small businesses."

During the pandemic, Freiman sponsored several bills that made funding available to support struggling businesses throughout New Jersey.

"I am proud of what we have achieved this legislative session, but our work is far from over," said Freiman. "As we come out of the COVID-19 pandemic it is more important than ever to create an environment that attracts new businesses to our State and allows those already here to prosper. I remain committed to expanding economic opportunities in our State and creating a better future for all New Jerseyans."
