Hillsborough Baseball Registration Now Open
Register Now for the Spring 2018 Hillsborough Baseball Season: Early-Bird Discount Ends Dec. 15

Although you may be thinking more about holiday preparations and winter weather at this time of year, the Hillsborough Baseball League is thinking about bat regulations and umpire training. In fact, registration for the spring 2018 recreation baseball season is now open on the league’s website (hbl.leag1.com). The league is currently offering early-bird registration ($25 off) through December 15. Also, for the first time, registration is free for children in pre-K and kindergarten.
Beginning this past spring, the Hillsborough Baseball League moved its home from the complex on Willow Road to the new, county-run facility at Mountain View Park. Mountain View offers seven brand-new fields: two “46/60” fields for players ages through age 10, two “50/70” fields for 11- and 12-year-olds, two “60/90” fields for kids 13 and older, and a “challenger” turf field for Buddy League players for children with special needs. Players in Hillsborough’s baseball league will throw, hit, and slide on some of the newest and most well-maintained fields in central New Jersey.
But because the complex is run by the county, and not the baseball league, the fields at Mountain View are offered to other teams and leagues as well. Therefore, the county requests that the baseball league submit its spring schedule by the end of January. That means that teams have to be formed early, when baseball is often far from the minds of players and parents. For a guaranteed spot, parents should register players before mid-January. Once registration closes, players will be accepted only if spots are open.
