Hillsborough, Belle Mead Men Arrested For Heroin, Cocaine
A man was also arrested for DWI after he was found vomiting on the side of a Basking Ridge road, police report.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Two Hillsborough and Belle Mead men were arrested for drug possession in Basking Ridge, according to the police blotter.
On Sept. 18: John Shockley, 33 of Hillsborough, and Michael Brandt, 36 of Belle Mead, were stopped by Officer Mulhall for an equipment violation. During the stop, officers located heroin and crack cocaine in their possession. They were charged for drug possession and released pending a court appearance.

On Sept. 15: Becky Thayer, 36, of Mt. Laurel led several police agencies on a pursuit prior to exiting onto King George Rd. Police from Bernards attempted to stop her until she eventually was apprehended in Long Hill Township. She was arrested and charged with several counts of eluding and other motor vehicle violations. She was lodged in the Union County Jail.
On Sept. 17: Jonathan Reyes, 30, of New York was found inside of his vehicle with its hazards on when Officer Caparoni stopped to check on him. The officer observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and later found under 50 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle. Reyes was arrested for drug possession and released pending a court appearance.

On Sept. 22: Ariel Irizarry, 22, of Old Bridge was stopped by Officer Caparoni for failing to signal and an equipment violation. During the stop, under 50 grams of marijuana was discovered along with paraphernalia. He was arrested for drug possession and released pending a court appearance.
On Sept. 23: Tyler Shakir, 39, of Plainfield was stopped by Officer Caparoni for failing to maintain a lane. During the stop, it was determined that Shakir was intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, driving while suspended, and failing to submit to a breath test. He was released pending a court appearance.
On Sept. 28: Montana Victor, 37, of Edison was found inside his vehicle on the side of the road on S. Finley Avenue vomiting. As Officer Caparoni assisted the man, it was determined that he had driven while intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI. He was released pending a court appearance.
On Oct. 2: The Bernards Police Department investigated a burglary on Cherry Lane. The time frame of the burglary was between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. If anyone has any information contact Detective Brian Fallon at 908-204-3045.
