HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Township School Board has six candidates vying for three seats in the upcoming election on Nov. 3.

Benjamin Wilson Kidd is one of the candidates running. The other candidates include Cynthia "Cindy" DeCavalcante Nurse, Paul Marini, incumbent Dr. Lorraine A. Soisson, Ann Harris, and Judith C. Haas.

All of the candidates are running for the three, three-year seats on the board.

I have experienced many things good and bad as a student. I would like to use those experiences to help improve the schools.

2. What are your qualifications for this position?

I have attended Hillsborough Township Schools most of my life, and have paid attention to the issues from the perspective of a student.

3. The single most pressing issue facing our school district is ____ and this is what I intend to do about it:

The lack of cooperation between the school board and the township committee is causing huge problems. If we were working as a team we could conserve resources and ease tax costs while improving the lives of students, teachers, and townspeople.

4. What are other issues you would like to see addressed in the school district?

Other issues I would like to see addressed include overcrowding, communications, and the buildings.
