Hillsborough BOE Candidates To Be Sworn In

Two incumbents, one newcomer to take board seats

Hillsborough, NJ -- Two incumbents and one newcomer will be sworn in to the Hillsborough Township Board of Education on Jan. 4.

Dana C. Boguszewski, Deena Centofanti and Brett Cooper will be sworn into the board for a three-year term during the Board of Education’s organization/regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.

The three won out over Thomas J. Zobele, a newcomer and Lorraine A. Soisson, an incumbent who served for one three-year term.

Boguszewski, a four-year member and a registered nurse who works in pediatric emergency department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, was elected with 2,179 votes.

Centofanti, another incumbent will be sworn into her second term. She received 2,454 votes. Centofanti is a nurse manager at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

Newcomer Cooper received 2,206 votes. He is a fulltime professor in business and sports management at the College of New Rochelle, N.Y.

During the meeting, a President and Vice President of the board will be decided. Committee Appointments will also be designated to each board member.

The meeting will be held at the Auten Road Intermediate School cafeteria, 281 Auten Road in Hillsborough.
