Hillsborough Boys and Girls Swim Teams Honored

The Hillsborough Township Committee honored both the High School Girls and Boys Swim Teams with a proclamation for their successful season.

The Hillsborough Township Committee honored both the High School Girls and Boys Swim Teams with a proclamation for their successful season at the March 22 meeting.

Both teams were led by Head Coach Todd Sudol and Assistant Coach Adele Morgan.

The girls swim team won the Central Jersey Sectional title for the second time in team history and is being recognized for the third year in a row by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association as a Gold Scholar Team recipient. The NISCA Gold award goes to teams with a 3.750 GPA and above, and the Hillsborough High School Swim Team has a GPA of 3.896 GPA.

The boys team earned the titles of Central Jersey Sectional Champions, their sixth Sectional title in team history and is being recognized for the third year in a row by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association as a Silver Scholar Team. The NISCA award goes to teams with a 3.500-3.749 GPA, and the Hillsborough High School Boys Swim Team has a GPA of 3.729.
